Nice surprise in the backyard, by SunBôw

Nice surprise in the backyard, by SunBôw:

A few days ago, in a corner I had never explored yet, at a stone throw behind the house, I found on the wet forest floor a trail of fresh footprints larger than mine. Intrigued and glad, I followed the tracks for a couple hundred yards and they lead me to a new intricate tree structure nearby that seemingly just popped up out of the blue. I thanked the forest keepers for manifesting their presence. It felt like a response to the offering I left months ago at the double arch, deeper in the woods.

Results come to those with patience, as the forest Elders have time. I took a short clip for the sake of documenting and for the archives. It’s like if they built a gifting space closer to my home to engage in communication. I’ll bring offerings there, curious to see how the connection will evolve with the local clan over the seasons.

Despite a few sporadic signs and distant encounters in the region in the last three years, I’ve noticed that they are rather discreet, even shy in the northeast, having had little to no contact with humans for generations. Although they are known in the local Native folklore, the tribes here have faced more centuries of colonialism, displacement from their homelands, assimilation and christianization, so they have lost contact and more of their ancient knowledge than in the west. Hence, Misabe has stayed secluded.

I’m grateful for this visit and look forward to what’s next… 😊🙏

A closer look

Since I’ve been posting much less this year, here’s a bonus with a couple more anecdotes I posted on FB in the last days.

Lynx links… Last week in a morning meditation, I saw in a vision the Lynx hanging out in a patch of firs, at a short walk from here.

Later that day, I went for a walk in that fir grove and found his tracks and fresh scat, with small mammal bones in it. I greeted him with tobacco to honor his presence and medicine, as a gift when meeting forest relatives. The telepathic connection was astounding.

Then I returned a few days later in that same grove and found that at least two grouse had been caught and eaten there recently. Again, I left some tobacco and picked a handful of the nicest feathers laying on the snow. I felt like a gift from the Lynx…

To celebrate the arrival of spring (in these northern woodlands), we hiked in the forest to the beaver pond and bumped into Mommy Porcupine and her new born cub. Lovely encounter… 🥰

I hope you enjoyed these news from my necks of the woods.

  1. it’s a wonderful occasion to be greeted unconditionally via organic structures…. on first sight when discovering structures like yourself… from the discovery and amazement a reset to my breath calming the mind feeling peace…. in the last two week have discovered two structures in a national park nearby my home, one huge X near a car park the other a mass of interwoven sticks and large branches in a quieter site across from my friends house not far out of Sydney… Interesting l am reading refreshing on Sasquatch book 3 and 1…. grounding is the idea back to soul…. Thank you for sharing with us your journey Sunbôw….
