Winter Solstice in Sasquatch marshland, by Bryn Rose from Wisconsin

Winter Solstice in Sasquatch marshland, by Bryn Rose from Wisconsin:

I was driving not too far from my house and looked up at a ridge that I look at all the time and saw that a bunch of the trees were all of the sudden just down and thought, someone has been busy.

I pulled off the road and hiked up to look at them. Then I hiked down the other side of the ridge and just kept going. The fresh cold air was beautiful, and I love to hike at times just going wherever I feel pulled to go. These kettles formed by the glaciers go up and down. I hiked through forest until I came up on a ridge and looked down and saw a vast long marshland that I had never been to. There are small ponds and streams that weave through the grasses, reeds and cattails.

I followed a deer trail down, and then noticed a trail of very large footprints leading out on a bit of solid land and followed them. The land had trees and I could see the signs the Forest People leave. The tree breaks, arches and other subtle signs. The trail was well traveled and would break off in many directions like a deer trail does. I followed the trail straight in front of me until I came to complete marshland all around me, no solid ground.

There was a beautiful pond with the largest muskrat lodge I have ever seen. The area was beautiful. The trail of footprints continued through the marsh, but experience has shown me that to continue through this would be dangerous. With the freezing water and underground springs, you could get sucked right into the mud like thick quicksand. Yet these prints just continued right through. A three and half to 4 feet wide swath right through. I could see they went to an island of pines. This island was completely surrounded by marsh and then had a barrier of red intertwining bushes that are beautiful to look at, but they have thorns twice the size of a rose bush and are quite impenetrable. I have gotten scratched up in those type of plants before. They reach and grab your boot and poke through your clothes. I think they are some kind of dogwood.

I thought to myself how very clever. Here is your marsh moat and there is your bush fortress. Here is the end of line for this girl.

Right after this thought came to my head, I heard a sharp whistle and what I can best describe as a Crow laughing from those pines.

I laughed because it was so funny and strange sounding. I sat down for a few minutes and listened and there was just complete silence. No birds, no animals just nothing but the wind. I could feel them in those pines.

Then all of the sudden mist started coming out of those pines and down around the marsh and within minutes it reached me. There is something about mist or fog that the Sasquatch here have an association with. In areas where I know they are around, mysterious mist will show up at times.

Intuition told me it’s time to go. I had some apples in my bag, I keep them in my car now that it is cold, and I pulled them out and held them up and said these are for you, I hope you and your family are well. Blessings to you. I sat the apples down and turned back and headed the way I came. When I got to the end of the marshland something incredible happened. I heard a deep glutaral voice come from those pines behind me. The voice said FoUUUaaahh with an audible exhale at the end. It was a deep loud baritone voice. It felt projected at me. It sounded so otherworldly. Human sounding yet not.

I came to a complete stop and stood there with all the hairs on my body standing on end, goosebumps and my scalp tingling. I got my breathing under control and continued on a few steps, and there on the trail that I had come in on, was a Turkey feather. Then it hit me, he said “for you”. In English. For you. The feather. Oh my God. How absolutely mind blown I was. I held the feather up and yelled thank you so much!!!

I have heard many vocals from them. Yells, screams, whistles, popping sounds, animal like calls, bird calls and one time I heard what sounded like Native language being spoken, but not in all my 20 years of interacting with these people have they ever spoken to me in English. What an absolute honor. An amazing break through. All the way home I kept replaying that voice in my head, it sounded really familiar somehow and then the weirdest memory came to me. I know where I have heard that voice before. When I was little there was a book I loved called Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh. This book was made into the movie called The Secret of Nimh. In this movie the mouse named Mrs. Brisby goes to see the Wise Old Owl. I looked this up and sat and listened to the wise old owl clip from this movie and that is what this Sasquatch sounded like. Much much more deep, but he sounded similar to the owl character from the movie. James Carradine was the voice actor. So strange and fascinating. I saw that movie 30 plus years ago.

Even as I type this, it’s late and I can’t sleep, there is a Barred Owl outside my window calling and it sends chills of thrill up my spine. Here are some photos of the area. In this type of light at this time of the year it is hard to take good photos with my archaic phone.

  1. What a beautiful encounter. I wish they would interact with us more. I’m sure there is so much we could learn from them and vice versa. I hope I have a magical encounter some day as well.

  2. Thank you for sharing your story. It is truly both wonderful and amazing… I am having interactions too, but not quite to this degree. I hope to someday soon to be brave enough to be right in the middle of things when they are here visiting… Love the story and would enjoy hearing much more! 🙂
