Sasquatch words recorded in BC, by Deb Mathews:

Sharing an experience, I had with my first vocal encounter with The Forest People at my first Arrrie and family campout, Sept 18th thru Sept 23rd, 2023.

A friend and I had planned on attending an event in Willow Creek on September 8-10th to connect with likeminded who love the Forest People. She bought her ticket first and I finally got mine July 31st.

Then I was invited to British Columbia by Brian & Sue Bland to attend the “Arrrie and Family Campout”, Sept 18th thru Sept 23rd, 2023, right after Willow Creek. I asked my friend if she wanted to just drive up to Brian and Sue’s event in Canada right after Willow Creek; but she had to work two days after the Willow event. With that, I thought we were not going to Canada, so I did not go forth with my passport application.

She got back to me and said after Willow Creek, we drive home and four days later we drive back up to Canada. Willow Creek is a 721-mile, 11 hour drive up and same back; one day each way. Canada event was a 21-hour drive in two days up and same back.

I must have made 30 or more calls to the Passport office to inquire on status. It kept saying “pending” on the website for daily status. They said they could not guarantee I would get my passport. Even though I am close to the L.A. office my application was in Seattle. So, I just made an appointment to walk into the Passport office during our drive up to Canada and take the gamble that I would get it.

I felt positive due to a week prior I was cashing in at my Credit Union; rolls of quarters that piled up. And in the return change slot there was a shinny 5cent Canadian coin. I saved it for the trip up. That was my guarantee.

Willow Creek: We had an amazing time. I experienced waking up in my vision the heads of two of the Forest People one white (elder) and one brown adult. Then when we left, a small stone was thrown at our windshield by the young ones. Nothing broke.

Canada Event: Golden Ears Provincial Park event.

This was amazing as I had not been to Canada since 1983, 1963 prior to that. Beauty beyond words. So much that one day during our five-day stay in a rented R.V. I took my digital and started walking around. Then I heard the whooshing of a birds wings right over my head. As I fumbled trying to find where he went; I saw him sitting on a limb in front of me about 20 feet up.

It was a Raven. He turned his head to look at me and after about 30 seconds he flew off horizontally then in between two trees; he went vertical, and I did not see where he went. I did not look at the playback of the video until two days later when I returned home.

Out of 363 images in Canada, 19 were videos. The first video I looked at was the Raven. The video is 47 seconds long and the voice of one of the Forest People is at 6 seconds.

Sunbow and Tara both wrote what they heard.

Here are two different interpretations.

1- It sounded to me like a native language. I asked Sunbow if he knew what it might mean or  if he knew of anyone that would be able to translate the words given in the video. I met Sunbow at my first 2018 event in Chewelah Washington given by Kelly. Sunbow asked from his friend Chief Kathleen.

Sunbow’s reply: So, this is what my friend Chief Kathleen Robin Smith replied: ”I have reached out to a number of fluent speakers in Ucwalmicwts, St’at’imcet and Halq’emeylem as well as Chehalis (whose totem is the Sasquatch). I was informed that the Sasquatch speak using an ancient dialect rarely heard by the human ear as most communication is done using telepathy waves. In my language ucwalmícwts it sounds like he is saying “don’t name me” “cw7aoz skwátsits éntsa”.

2. This second interpretation is from Kelly RainbowButterfly who is also a friend of mine and whom I have attended six of her events since 2018. She read my post and felt a need to post the following.

”Hi Deb, I love the audio you recorded, what a beautiful gift. I feel the elders prodding me to tell you that the “Don’t Name Us” interpretation is not completely accurate. They don’t adopt the same human languages as us although many of the ancient native languages sound similar. There isn’t anyone that could interpret it for certain, it’s subject to each individual and the way they perceive it. He was communicating something, and it’s different for all, but it’s not the same as the ucwalmicwts language which is human. They can sometimes communicate in human languages too but it’s not their natural way and they would probably communicate in English or a language you could easily translate if it was a specific message, he wanted to convey to you. The elders say it’s important not to define a certain characteristic, personality, language, name, behavior, etc. to their race or any race. The best interpretation is through your personal telepathy and frequency and will never come from an outside source.”

What my take is on both of these interpretations.

On #1: “Don’t Name Me”
I can understand this on a personal level. I contemplated on this message Chief Kathleen gave me in regard to the voice I videotaped into the early morning. It’s not what I expected; however, I feel it is what some of us needed to hear!

WORDS ARE POWERFUL

I feel this message wasn’t just for me. It was for humanity, and “They” know how I share all my experiences. I feel I was chosen to share this in whatever way it is taken and by also sharing the interpreted messages by anyone who listens to it and fell the message of energy within their being to also share.

I asked them to let me know what they wish to be called as I have struggled with this for a long time. But that’s the thing. Don’t put a name label on them as an individual. Giving them a title or naming them is quite powerful.

Another lesson I learned is when I read somewhere that when Patty from the Patterson-Gimlin film “allowed” herself to be filmed. People disregarded it as fake. Laughed at the idea of one of them being real. This was way back in 1967 in Northern California.

(Hoopa Rez. which is only 15 Miles from Willow Creek, and another place at Hoopa Reservation where I also experienced in the top floor hotel in 2005 two huge beings standing behind me in my hotel room. I felt chills all the way through my body.) Hoopa is approximately 46 miles from the Patterson-Gimlin site.

And still; people do it to this day with blatant disregard. They are powerful spiritual beings and the energy from human words can put negative energy on her being. And I have also read that it was very damaging to her energy. (ever walked in a room of negative people and wanted to walk out; or have a fearful dream and that “energy” lingers with you forever?) One will remember something hateful, fearful, or shocking longer than a casual connection. Its energy lingers sometimes forever.

The following message is from Sunbow about the translation:

”The message can have different meanings and interpretations. It sounds to me like they prefer not to be given an individual name by us as if they were pets. I had communications for months with Kamooh before I asked his name, pressured by peers. He hesitated a long time before agreeing to give me one, coming with warnings and disclaimers, because names carry karmas and can be easily misused, as I eventually witnessed with his. Anyhow, these words can have a different meaning altogether as well, like ‘don’t call me’ for instance. If the message was sent to you, you should find its meaning for your own guidance…”

Humans put labels on everything. We have this need to identify everything in this linear dimension. Which is part of our “Free Will” but our Free Will has consequences. It is called Karma.  I heard somewhere that Karma is not a bad thing. It is a part of each of our lessons here on Earth.

Personally, I do not like the word BF (Bigfoot), I feel it is an insult. Sasquatch I only used on occasion for the PNW. I Love “The Forest People” and will continue to call them that. Why? Still a name but it is not directed to one; it is directed to the friends I have found in my life and prior lives.

Again, in my Trans-channel reading by Gayle Fowler, I was told by “One” who said she has been with me my whole life; and that we lived past lives together. That “They” prefer to be called “The Forest People”. I feel I need to honor that request from my guide. Yes, she is real. I have seen her in a dream where she was standing in the center of 15 others like her and a few were waving.

Names do carry energy and here is an example.

#2: “The best interpretation is through your personal telepathy and frequency and will never come from an outside source.”

I cannot comment fully on this because I do not have the ability yet to use telepathy at a high degree. It comes and goes. Sure, I have had some. My son spoke to me in my head minutes after he passed from a hit and run Monte Carlo hitting him head on at 90 mph. Tommy said, Don’t hurry Mom, I was gone by 3:35.

February 10th, 1999; I was driving home from college due to my spouse just finding out he had Cancer. This was six months after our son was killed. I was in the fast lane, and I heard “You need to get over Mom” What? Why! I actually answered this voice in my head. LOL

Another time at a James Van Praagh event in So. Calif. James had us participate in a guided meditation. Afterwards he asked us all to write down anything and allow the pen to flow. It did and someone wrote with my pen in my hand “Are you ready for your journey? Not my handwriting. I answered YES! I felt the words were talking.

Another time I was in college and our English professor asked us to write a poem for homework. I asked how as I’d never done so before. She replied, “From your Heart” I went to my room and contemplated for a bit on what to write, then the “thought” came in my head to write about my son. I started the first few lines and then the pen took over. “Together Again” is a long poem and the pen was in overdrive.

I do not do this on a regular basis. But it has occurred. And I feel this interpretation is also true in itself.

Regarding frequency, that to me is intuition. I am not perfect at intuition, but it has come true often. Sometimes I listen and sometimes it slips by.

Once my Intuition guided me to look down the ground to observe one footprint in my driveway as I was walking out to the X-Large mailbox to paint one of The Forest People on it with trees and mountains.

I thank both Chief Kathleen and Kelly Rainbowbutterfly for their personal thoughts on my vocal message. What an amazing gift of vocals from the ones who are caretakers for many moons on Earth. We have so much to learn from them and I myself am just starting. There are a few others on my initial post that have given their overview or reply to a comment.

SunBôw’s comment: This post took over a couple days to complete and agree on its final content. After talking with Kelly, Deb wanted to remove the part with Chief Kathleen’s translation and contribution to the research. It felt to me like we couldn’t have found any better translator for this recording than a well respected elected Chief and traditional Salishan speaking Elder who in turn asked fluent speakers of other Salishan dialects after I forwarded the recording to her, since as Deb expressed in the first place and many others have felt, the words sound like a Native language, and since the site of the recording in Golden Ears Park is at the heart of Salishan homeland, while the very name Sasquatch comes from those local ancestral tribal cultures.

To omit her most relevant translation and comment seemed to me like missing out on the best lead we could have hoped for. Deb agreed to leave that part in her post, if I accepted to add Kelly’s interpretation. So I added it, to give different perspectives, but to widen even a little bit more our perspectives, I’ll offer mine on Kelly’s comment, some parts of which I must respectfully disagree with, with all due respect to this long time collaborator.

First, I wonder on what ground Kelly can say: ”the “Don’t Name Us” interpretation is not completely accurate”, because first, it’s not an ”interpretation”, but a translation from a language she has no knowledge of, and second, this translation can be subject to interpretation, but it is still the closest we could come to understanding those words said in Salish homeland. No one else has been able to provide any approximation of a linguistic translation.

It is rather ambitious to pretend that: ”it’s not the same as the ucwalmicwts language”, since the only word she knows from the Salish languages is the name Sasquatch, so how can she know the words heard are not in Salishan?

Chief Kathleen said the Sasquatch use an old dialect, which is certainly closer to Salishan dialects than to English. She’s well placed to know this, since her culture has honored the Sasquatch since ancestral times, some even have them as their clan totem, not a mascot but a spiritual ancestor, and the Salish cultures have made the Sasquatch and their name known to the world.

Kelly somewhat agreed when she wrote: ”many of the ancient native languages sound similar”, as indeed research into Sasquatch recordings has shown that Native words and dialects are often heard, and this on different continents. She further writes: ”They don’t adopt the same human languages as us”, but later continues, saying: ”They can sometimes communicate in human languages too but it’s not their natural way and they would probably communicate in English or a language you could easily translate”.

I agree in general with these statements, since they can use both human and non-human languages. But then, why wouldn’t a Sasquatch, whose very name is from the Salish language, speak in Salishan dialect in the heart of the Salish homeland, which was easily translated by a Salishan speaker? I met the clans out there various times; they are the oldest lineages of Sasquatch on the planet and they have lived close to the Salish tribes since thousands of years.

Kelly adds: ”if it was a specific message, he wanted to convey to you”, but Deb wrote it was meant to be shared with the world. From the beginning, she felt it sounded like a Native language, she asked around for interpretation or translation and it was uploaded publicly, so it surely wasn’t meant only for her. It is indeed an interesting recording we can all learn from.

I have often addressed Sasquatch speech in my books, posts and interviews, and what I learned from first hand experience is that they can use speech and articulated language. I have heard them several times and even recorded them twice, but as Chief Kathleen said, they use mostly telepathy for deeper communication. The words they have given me come from ancient Lemurian languages whose roots are found in some Native American and East Asian languages. But once I recorded them on the Chehalis Reserve, and I was hearing them speak in English, while as often, others hear hardly anything or nothing. With the Sierra Recordings, listeners have heard different languages.

So, I generally agree with Kelly when she writes: ”There isn’t anyone that could interpret it for certain, it’s subject to each individual and the way they perceive it. He was communicating something, and it’s different for all… The best interpretation is through your personal telepathy and frequency and will never come from an outside source.”; echoing my reply to Deb: ”The message can have different meanings and interpretations… Anyhow, these words can have a different meaning altogether as well, like ‘don’t call me’ for instance. If the message was sent to you, you should find its meaning for your own guidance…”.

Because finally, in the end, everyone will decide for themselves and choose the interpretation that resonates with their heart, so I included both views, that are not exactly opposed but divergent, yet can agree on certain principles, but I needed to add nuances and perspectives for clarity.

However, having spent a lot of time on Salish homelands during decades, met several wise Elders and done ceremonies in various of their communities, having had not only numerous Sasquatch encounters on Salish homelands, but the largest number and most life-changing ones that gave birth to The Sasquatch Message to Humanity, having heard the Sasquatch using verbal speech on various occasions, having researched and studied other researchers content, some of which was condensed in the Encyclopedia of All Things Sasquatch, I certainly trust Chief Kathleen’s translation as a valid information worthy of consideration and an important clue in understanding Sasquatch, even if it is not what some would like to hear from them. The message could mean ”Don’t put words in my mouth”, or ”Don’t mention me”, who knows?

After all, it’s open to interpretation, and for lack of a better translation, any guess can go, so the meaning may remain aleatory, vague, undefined, unknown, unassimilated, as another mysterious, unexplained sound. Some might even not believe that it was a Sasquatch voice nor any of the info we share here. And that’s fine, that’s the fun part about free will and choice.

Personally, I’m convinced that Deb recorded a Sasquatch voice and that a significant and relevant translation was rendered by Chief Kathleen to propose a possible meaning to it, that can be multilayered and multifaceted. Whatever everybody else thinks is up to them, as we all end up with our own interpretation, but considering valid outside sources can widen perspectives.

Ultimately, words can easily be misinterpreted and lead to debates, one more reason why the Sasquatch prefer to communicate in telepathy over words.

  1. Great Post! Speaking aloud Japanese in the forest during a “coming clean” ceremony for the Little People initiated my first ever Sasquatch (Forest Giants) face to face encounters. And agree with the post that Yes they do in fact use telepathy, or mind speak.
