Best Selected Sasquatch/Bigfoot/Yeti/Yowie videos and footage

Since the first photos of Yeti footprints emerged from the Everest expedition in 1951, considered by a large number as a clear evidence, countless photos and videos have circulated, allegedly showing Yeti-type hairy humanoids observed around the world.

The number grew exponentially with the digital age and the availability of cameras of all types, cell phones, dash cams, game cams, trail cams, go pro, drones or night vision. There seems to be sudden surges of filmed sightings around 2010, and again in 2015.

Counting out the hundreds of photos from the most astounding to the insignificant blurs, I did an extensive research and listed the videos that seem possibly authentic or at least interesting enough to watch and wonder, starting by ruling out the following categories :

Fakes : The skinny guy in a ghillie suit running across the road, as his friend arrives.

Jokes : The naked guy running in the field; kids dressed as Chewbacca; or a beer ad.

Pranks : The 10 minute long wait for nothing but a waste of time : 2 million viewers.

Hoaxes : There are some obvious cheap fakes, but some are more professionally done.

Blursquatch or Blobsquatch : Pejorative names for the blurry blobs shown as Sasquatch.

I sorted out the above to save much time. This leaves us with the following categories :

Suspicious : The clear footage with close up, from filmmakers or famous researchers.

Unsure : Footage too short, shaking, out of focus, or the subject too far or half hidden.

Possible : Clearer footage showing what seems to look and move like a Sasquatch.

Compelling : Showing unusual moves, behaviors, sizes or shapes that are not Human.

So, I chose some 125 videos for this list, that fit into one of these four above categories. It is up to everyone to make up their own mind and I do not claim the authenticity of any video I did not take, but there are some selected that are convincing, if not the real thing.

I selected preferably short versions and original footage, sometimes with a brief analysis (still frames, slowed down, zoomed in, enhanced), or a few news clips showing footage. Location or region is mentioned when known, as well as dates; videos are listed in chronological order with the available data (date or year it was filmed, or else uploaded).

Criterias of credibility include : anonymous witnesses who prefer to stay low profile, people who were not ‘squatching’ nor had any interest in Sasquatch before the encounter, the number of witnesses and their reactions, the likelihood of the scenario of the story, the location (the more remote and wild, the less likely it can be a hoax), and the images.

Most of the credible footage comes from families, tourists, hikers, hunters, farmers, fishermen, loggers, or from game cams, dash cams, even drones. Sometimes the camera is filming the subject directly, other times the subject comes into view while filming something else, and often the Sasquatch is found later in the footage, after reviewing it.

There are surely hoaxers out there who use the name Sasquatch to gain attention or fame, or else try to discredit the true knowledge learned from the authentic encounters. But, with all these videos filmed and shared by different witnesses, emerging from all parts of North America, Russia, Australia and elsewhere, we must either conclude that :

-Either they are all hoaxes, as if a new frenzy had taken over the world since decades in trying to prove of disprove the existence of hairy humanoids, with monkey suits videos.

-Or either there is a certain amount of authentic sightings and footage reported by many witnesses in various locations, increasingly being captured on camera in recent years.

Whatever we may believe, the theme of Sasquatch is a persistent one since precolonial days and seems to keep gaining more and more attention worldwide. New movies about Bigfoot are being made every year and research groups and conferences have multiplied.

Sadly, Sasquatch is too often presented or approached as a dangerous monster or a wild beast, from the perspectives of those who ignore who they are or have no understanding. Never mind sensational unrepresentative titles of some videos shared on some channels.

While a too large majority aims at killing or capturing Sasquatch just to prove they exist, a growing minority of experiencers are sharing their knowledge of our Elder Relatives, who come out increasingly to meet us, reaching out to us for our collective evolution. May all our cosmic Family be reunited in peaceful and spiritual interspecies relations…
