Plagiarist John Kuykendall’s misappropriation of The Sasquatch Message to Humanity:

Greetings readers, some of you might have heard me before describing the difficulties met by indie authors to get noticed by a public audience in the fierce competition of a fast growing market run by global monopolies, as well as to protect their copyrights.

If they can’t afford marketing services, independent authors need to dedicate themselves in continuous assiduous efforts to develop and maintain their audience organically. This arduous networking task however, cannot compete with global commercial empires, nor can it prevent unscrupulous plagiarists from misappropriating the authors’ works.

I found out for instance that many websites offer my books for free reading or even for free download, without any consultation or consent. In one case I found last year, an Asian website had already delivered over 140,000 copies of my Encyclopedia of All Things Sasquatch without my knowledge and of course without me getting anything from it.

There are cases when publishers or bloggers ask me if they can use excerpts from my books and I usually accept on the condition that the author, source and links are mentioned. Yet, there are others who will not only use my copyrighted content illegally and illegitimately, but also remove all mentions to the author and sources to falsely pose as the content creators themselves. Such copyright infringement is called plagiarism, it is not only unethical and immoral, but also illegal and criminal and passible of fines.

Well, here is the latest discovery, that was brought to my attention just today by Kelly. Author John Kuykendall is a plagiarist who copied word for word the entire content of The Sasquatch Message to Humanity, Book 1, from screenshots he took on the editor’s website that he simply pasted into his plagiarized book entitled ”America(n) Sasquatch”. He did not even care to edit the format except to remove all mentions to the author, editor and source of the text he stole illegally. He used for the cover the image of an eerie Sasquatch sitting on a carcass, totally inappropriate for the content of the book, just like the totally irrelevant title ”American Sasquatch”.

On top of that, he sells this illegally plagiarized book nearly twice the price we ask for our original copyrighted version, as the author and original editor, a poor competition we may say, yet as a prolific author and podcast host who can afford the marketing costs, his books are distributed through many online distributors, or by Walmart. So he profits from other authors’ work, mine at least, through completely illegal and immoral plagiarism.

With the numerous titles he has already published, we can legitimately ask how many were also plagiarized books or stolen content through copyright infringement. As both Kelly and I did, we encourage readers to report this plagiarist to Amazon, Lulu and other platforms where his books are advertised, and give him a bad review. Also if you can have a look at his books, you might find other plagiarized material from sources you know, if not from yourself. The intention of this post is to bring out the truth and right the wrongs. We don’t bother anyone unless they step on our turf and steal our work.

This is a public announcement that Author John Kuykendall (John Kuykendall, Author, John Kuykendall) has fraudulently published the book “American Sasquatch” which is completely plagiarized from The Sasquatch Message to Humanity. The contents of his book is screenshots of the book content when it was available on psychicsasquatchDOTcom.

This material was written by SunBôw TrueBrother and edited and published by Kelly Lapseritis in 2016 by Comanche Spirit Publishing and then republished by Kelly Rainbow Butterfly Publications in 2020. Mr. Kuykendall conveniently removed all mention of names and sources and did not have permission (and never requested) to publish this content. Legal action will be taken and the author and publishers demand that this material is taken down immediately.

I have 151 mutual friends with this person and I’m quite sure that they are not aware of this crime in copyright infringement. He is an author of many other titles as well so if you wrote anything on the subject of Bigfoot/Cryptids, UFOs or the paranormal, please check to be sure he isn’t plagiarizing you or your favorite authors as well. Please do NOT support this charlatans material and please help the author Jean Letellier and myself (editor and publisher) in reporting this plagiarized material.
